For all those that have not read this book, go READ IT. Okay, you can wait a minute and hear what I think about it first if you want....
Haha anyways, I think you can already tell that I loved this book. It follows two very different people: Daniel, a Korean boy pressured to be a doctor by his parents, and Natasha, a Jamaican girl fighting against being deported with her family back to Jamaica. These two people cross paths and a very sweet but untraditional love story plays out. This book deals with the notions of "love at first sight" and "fate", and it argues both sides throughout the story while highlighting how the consequences of each action can have such significant consequences. I love the way that the author, Nicola Yoon, incorporated so many different points of view throughout the story. Of course you have the points of view of the two main characters, but you also have others along the way that I think is best kept a secret if you have not yet read the book.
If you're not convinced yet, take a leap of faith and try reading it anyways. Trust me, it's gonna be a great book to end off your year with. I give it a whole 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!
